Directions:
To get to the park, take Route 17 in Hampstead to Sloop Point Loop Road (just south of Sloop Point Fire Dept.) The park is on the right ~1/2 mile southeast on Sloop Point Loop Rd. (Click Here for a map)

Information:
The Kiwanis Club of Hampstead will be having their 4th Annual Turkey Trot. It is a great family event held in a small coastal North Carolina community. The new 8K run is an out-and-back route that starts and finishes at the Hampstead Kiwanis Park after winding through some quiet neighborhoods nearby. The new 2 mile double loop route will be timed this year and offer prizes in all age groups. The 2 mile and 1/2 mile kids’ sprint occurs entirely on the park grounds to make it safer for children to participate. Last year, there were almost 400 runners but the event has grown every year. Look for more, new and better prizes and performance shirts for the 8K runners who register by November 4th. The race proceeds go directly into the fitness trail at the park with goals to pave more mileage, add another playground and more fitness stations.

You may also register by mail by printing a form from this website (Click Here for the Form and print from your browser) and mailing it to the Kiwanis Club of Hampstead (address is listed on the form).

You may register in person on Nov. 17th at TrySports in Wilmington from 5-7pm, on Nov. 18th at our Pre-Race Pasta dinner at the Hampstead Community Building from 5-7pm or finally on race day at the park from 7-8:30am.

Only entries received by November 4th are guaranteed a t-shirt.

Pre-Race Pasta Dinner and Race Packet pick-up November 18th from 5-7pm at the Hampstead Community Building (next to the Hess Gas station/ascross from Food Lion) $6 per adult and $4 per child under 6 y/o will receive pasta, meat and sauce, bread and a soft drink. You may register in advance with you pre-registration online or by mail. Profits from the dinner will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Hampstead's community projects like their school scholarships & leadership programs, community events like the Easter Egg hunt & Halloween and also holiday food drives.
