Kiwanis
is a global organization of volunteers,
dedicated to changing the world,
one child and one community at a time.

Project Plant
A Seed is a joint venture and combined commitment of the members of the
Kiwanis Club of Hampstead and the Topsail Island Area Kiwanis Club of
North Carolina.
The development of the land specifically set aside in the Hampstead Kiwanis Park for the Children's Community Garden will involve and enrich these communities. The proposed garden will be designed, developed, and maintained entirely by and for the CHILDREN. In early 2008 the Topsail Island Kiwanis Club presented the Plant A Seed project idea to the Hampstead Kiwanis Club as a growth opportunity, not only for Hampstead Kiwanis Park, but for the surrounding communities and their children. It is now a ground roots movement. Our Mission For project Plant A Seed encompasses the development in Hampstead Kiwanis Park of the Children's Community Garden while offering current and future generations the opportunity to experience the stewardship of caring for the gift of God's Earth. Goals for the project Education Augmenting school curriculum as well as independent study and planning for the children Developing the Land Plotting garden, soil development, irrigation, fertilization, fencing, maintenance and environmental awareness.
